Wow, this wedding was memorable for so many reasons! When Elizabeth and Andrea contacted me about their plans for their wedding I knew it was going to be something special. They were married in the idyllic Italian town of Ravello, which is found on the stunning Amalfi Coast. The wedding took place at Villa Cimbrone within a magnificent park, beautifully located between the town and the Mediterranean Sea. Villa Cimbrone dates back to the 11th century, and is a historical site with an assortment of enchanting botanical gardens. With rustic Italian charm and detailed features, the picturesque setting provided the most stunning location for Andrea and Elizabeth’s wedding.
Following the ceremony, the bridal party all boarded a boat for a ride to the neighbouring town of Positano. Both Ravello and Positano looked picture-perfect from the sea! Against a backdrop of romantic coastal towns and high scenic mountains, we captured some truly amazing shots.
The wedding breakfast took place overlooking the rugged Amalfi coastline, and as the sun started setting, friends and family danced their way late into the night. When the music faded and guests could dance no more, twinkling candle lanterns gently lit the way home.
The Amalfi Coast provided the most perfect location to capture beautiful wedding memories. Though I have shot weddings in nearby Positano, this was my first time to beautiful Ravello. With guests travelling from the US, Europe and beyond, this was certainly a fun and memorable celebration. As a European wedding photographer, it is an awesome privilege to be able to travel to such wonderful locations, and be part of such an important day…but it’s the people who make it special and this wedding was no exception! I wish I could shoot this wedding all over again :)
